Activities/Ropes Staff
Position Description

Start Date: May 22nd 2008
End Date: August 2nd 2008

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, lead, and/or supervise all Adventure activities for summer campers and guest groups including: high ropes, climbing wall, and zip line
  • Lead activities for campers and guest groups which may include mountain biking, archery, lake, and large group games
  • Make sure all equipment is well maintained and in safe working order
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized
  • Serve as Host to guest groups a couple evenings a week; be on call to help them should a need arise
  • Help with special projects around camp when not fulfilling ropes duties
  • Help clean lodges and buildings along with other staff at the end of each camp week
  • Assist with parking on Sunday afternoons during camper registration
  • Be friendly, patient, polite and courteous with campers, staff and guests
  • Maintain daily prayer and quiet times for personal spiritual growth
  • Attend all staff meetings, Bible studies and prayer times
  • Act responsible and mature at all times

Accountability

  • Be accountable to the Activities/Ropes Director and Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Be a person who has personally accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and shows evidence of Christian growth and maturity
  • Desire to share your faith with others and seek opportunities to do so
  • Willing to work hard and serve God through serving people
  • Be able to show Jesus Christ through your attitude, actions, and reactions
  • Have the ability to work well with others and be a positive role model
  • Prior experience in leading Adventure activities desired, but not required; training and certification provided
  • Be at least 18 years of age; one year of college preferred, but not required
  • First Aid and CPR required; training provided
