Instructor
Position Description
General Responsibilities:
1.
Learn appropriate teaching techniques as they are modeled.
2.
Participate in the training and orientation program regarding the
program planning, curriculum, teaching, and leadership.
3.
Prepare for and instruct or participate in the leadership of the
nature classes, hikes, field trips, night hikes, campfires, recreation
events and any other activities as scheduled and requested by the Head
Instructor.
4.
Participate in weekly staff meetings.
5.
Facilitate Zip Line, High Ropes Course, and Low Ropes Course for
students and adults
6.
Teach and facilitate classes on camp and off in the areas of;
Geology, Ecology, Water Ecology, Animal Biology, Forest Ecology, Survival,
Orienteering, and many other areas that you can provide through personal
experience and knowledge along with our staff training and curriculum.
7.
Ensure safety in all activities and classes for the students and
adults under your charge.
8.
Facilitate special events and speakers as needed.
9.
Work with teachers to provide the best possible experience for
students.
10.
Make sure all CHCC policies and local laws are adhered to.
11.
Perform other duties, as required by Head Instructor.
Time Responsibilities:
Monday thru Friday 8am to 6pm, plus 1-1½
hours in the evenings 2 sometimes 3 nights a week for campfires and night
hikes.
Compensation:
Room and Board (All meals provided)
Salary: $200/week
