God blesses throughout a busy fall & winter
Report From the
Director
Here
we are already, getting things in order for our spring Outdoor Ed season and
summer camp. It seems like we have hardly caught our breath from the Fall
and Winter. God has been so good to us and provided blessing after
blessing.
We are so
excited to have the new Erickson Chapel. It is nearly finished.
The interior is complete and we were so happy to host our Covenant Winter
Trailblazer camp on Feb 8-10. We still have a little exterior siding
to complete, but the wind and cold have limited our outdoor working time.
We were so blessed that God provided 100% of the funds needed and we are
finishing the project under budget. God’s people were very generous!
We were also ble ssed by the
many volunteers that came up week after week to work on the chapel.
Have you noticed a theme here? Yes, it’s been a season of blessing!
I recently attended a gathering of Covenant Camps from across the States
(there are 22 Covenant
Camps in the U.S.). It was so encouraging to learn that Christian Camping
is strong and growing throughout our denomination. While we may not be the
largest of the camps, we are always envied for our beautiful location. It
is a blessing to serve God and our local churches here in the Rocky
Mountains. When you glance up at the Rockies and see Long’s Peak, think of
us toiling away in one of God’s most beautiful spots on the earth. Hard to
feel bad for us, huh?
“On Fire” from Winter Trailblazer

Winter Trailblazer was a great success this year! We had 71 campers join us
for a weekend of fun in the snow and some exciting chapel sessions.
Saturday was full of outdoor fun enjoying the snow and the mountains! All
the campers participated in tubing out onto the lake, snow-shoeing in Rocky
Mountain National Park, fun on the ice, arts and crafts, and building
snowmen! Our speaker, Paula Frost, Children’s Director at Castle Oaks
Covenant, shared about igniting God’s flame in our hearts. As 1
Thessalonians 5:19 says, “Do not put out the Spirit’s fire.” We are also
very thankful to the many volunteers we had over the weekend, both as
counselors and kitchen help! Praise God for a great weekend!
Covenant Men’s retreat
May 3-4, 2008
Spend 24 hours this spring at Covenant Heights for the Men’s Retreat. The
theme this year is “Integrity Rebuild.” Speaker, Promise Lee, from Relevant
Word Ministries, will challenge and guide you into living a life of
integrity. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy some time off as
well, enjoying activities like the Zipline, Skeet Shoot, High Ropes, and
much more! More details will be coming to your church and our website
where you can now sign up online,
www.CovenantHeights.org. The cost for the weekend is $70/adult, $45/sons
in high school or middle school and $35/sons in sixth grade and below.
Summer Staff
We
are currently in the process of accepting applications and interviewing
summer
staff.
We
have received around 35 applications so far, several
from returning staff! We
thank God for laying it on the hearts of young people to spend a summer
serving here at Covenant Heights! Robin recently returned from
a recruiting trip to the Midwest where she met with many potential staff.
Please join with us in prayer that God would bring the right applicants to
fill the many roles that are so vital to our summer ministry and that God
would be preparing each staff member. If you know of anyone interested in
working here, encourage
them to visit our website or email Robin at
Robin@CovenantHeights.org.
Staffing Praises
Many blessings have occurred here on the Covenant Heights staff since last
summer! We praise God and thank Him for all He provides! Congratulations
to everyone and may God bless you each in your journey.

Are you Hungry?
Join us this
summer for Are You Hungry? based on Matthew 5:6. “Blessed are
those who hunger
and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Are you hungry? We all get hungry and need to be fed, but are you hungry
for God? This summer we will learn about what it means to be hungry for God
and the things He has to give us. We will discover how everyone is hungry
for acceptance, love, value, purpose and security. Only God can truly feed
us and provide what we need!
Summer Camp Brochures went out to campers, supporters, and churches! If you
have not received yours, call or email the office or check out more

help! Give us a call or email Mike at
